Larry Gatz

Larry not only serves as the President of Copperwood Financial but is also the visionary founder of Pro Athlete Wealth. With a mission to provide athletes with tailored financial solutions, Larry brings a wealth of experience in investment management, tax planning, and estate planning. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, he has been recognized as one of the "Best Financial Advisors for Doctors" by Medical Economics Magazine.
His passion for genuine relationships and hard work, shaped by his upbringing in a small Midwestern farming community, is reflected in the ethos of Pro Athlete Wealth. Larry holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Valparaiso University and is licensed in Series 65 and life/health insurance. When not at work, he enjoys outdoor activities, indulges in "Dad Jokes," and explores unique whiskeys. Larry resides in Burr Ridge, IL, with his wife Kelly and their children, Taylor and Brooks.ooks.

Pai attended Kentucky Country Day School (’94) in Louisville, KY, and graduated with abachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University (’98) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina(3yr Letterman Division-I Wake Forest University Football Team) and has a Master’s inBusiness Administration from the University of Louisville (’08).
In his free time, he has participated in various Leadership Louisville Programs (IgniteLouisville & The Bingham Fellows). He currently coaches running backs in football atNorth Oldham High School in KY in his free time, has served on the Board for theLeukemia & Lymphoma Society contributed time to the Men Wear Pink Campaign forthe American Cancer Society, and enjoys boating. He LOVES all things Kentucky. He isthe proud father of two sons, Sekayi Charasika and Nashe Charasika, both of whomattend Kentucky Country Day School.
